Why We Started Asteroid IT
We launched Asteroid IT in 2020 after watching too many small businesses like ours get left behind.
Large corporate MSPs were buying up the local, family-owned IT shops — the kind that knew their clients and actually cared. The result? Clients were stuck with cookie-cutter service plans, locked into long contracts, and left to deal with rotating techs who barely knew their name, let alone their business.
That didn’t sit right with us.
Jason, our founder, was still working at one of those corporate MSPs when he realized something had to change. They were more focused on profits than on doing the right thing for their clients. That was the final straw.
So, Jason and Megan — a husband-and-wife team with a heart for service — launched Asteroid IT to do things differently.
Born and raised in Arizona, Jason has lived here his entire life, giving him a deep understanding of the unique needs of local businesses and the communities they serve.
